About Kim

Kim is a 500-hour certified yoga and mat pilates instructor with a passion for teaching. Her yoga journey began as a student seeking an alternative way of improving her mental health. The practice became her lifelong medicine. The discovery of the awareness of breath linked with the movement of the body was a truly transformative experience. She was called to share this powerful medicine with others.
Kim’s classes are alignment-based and offer variations of postures. Her classes also focus on the connection of the pose with the subtly of the breath. Her intention is for students to feel the freedom to make an intuitive choice about their practice on the mat.
Off the mat, Kim works full time as an environmental scientist and running enthusiast. She can be found running around the Detroit area with her pals, sipping on coffee at a local coffee shop, hanging with her sweet cat Frodo, or listening to music.
